Farm Familia
Ffenics Farm Cheshire Cat
(Tracveler's Midnight Moonshine X Rollingwood's Unforgettable)
"Striker" is a lovely little gelding completely convinced of his homo sapien heritage. We purchased Striker with the intention of one day studding him out, however, as every breeder knows, breeding plans are ever shifting and in the end we decided it best to geld him. But one thing's for certain- his future wouldn't be complete without masses of little children. But until then Stiker excels at babysitting all our four legged babies once they've left their mothers.
Big Sky Elon: "Data"
(Celton Samba X Glenhaven Evita)
Data seems to be Ace born again in miniature (no relation). He has plenty of bulk and bone and is a lovely deep shade of red. Data has fit in seamlessly with our herd and dedicates most of his energy to keeping our young stallion prospect, Jinn, entertained.
Sun N' Pistol
Pistol is the farm's only Quarter horse mare, and the mother to two of our Faylin alums (one of which- Faylin's Say You Love Me- was our first ever foal). But while she has bore us a few foals, her job first and foremost is shepherding us around during our (non-existent) free time, and defending all the newly weaned fillies after their mothers pass her the torch.
NOTE: Pistol is NOT for sale
The below videos are from when we purchased Pistol and used here as a reference only
One Stylish Lizzie: "Stylish".
Stylish is my heart. This boy introduced me to the world of riding and just how wonderful an equine partnership could be when you find your perfect horse (who knew I'd luck out on my first real try?).
An old retired cutting horse when we bought him, Stylish has gone on to become an accomplished trail rider, coyote killer, boy training, baby sitting, colt breaking, IEA implant that a girl could have ever dreamed to ask for. Since day one he has fancied himself the one and ONLY farm stallion, and despite having been gelded for every day since I've known him, I think he accomplishes the task beautifully (and with a large dose of PIZAZZ!). All the colts revere him, and he starts his little cults in any pasture he is moved to.
Stylish is picture here with his adopted daughter Miri. After Sunny passed, leaving a 4 week old Miriam, none of the other broodmares seemed keen to do anything but tolerate her (most already having their own foals). So we introduced her to Papa Stylish and I think the results speak for themselves.
Uno Roulette: "Gatlin"
Gatlin is the largest dog on the farm. He's always after more treats or snuggles, and as the tallest horse we own... he usually gets one!
NOTE: Gatlin is NOT for sale
The below video is from when we purchased Gatlin and used here as a reference only
Miriam: "Miri"
(The Akhal-Teke stallion Gerald X our beloved Azteca mare Sunny)
Miriam is a peculiar little thing. Is is hard to pinpoint whether that is due to her Akhal-Teke heritage, or being orphaned at such a young age, but regardless Miri is much loved and treasured here. She found the family she lost in Stylish and then Sophie- with whom she is thick as thieves; you rarely find one without the other!
Miri was planned as a personal performance/trail horse, however until she is ready for training she will be crossed with Auggie for what we hope to be a stunning top of the line large.
